MODERNIZING A CONDOMINIUM.
We undertook a full renovation of a condominium from floor to ceiling. From a technical standpoint this was a straight forward renovation. The walls were in terrible shape due to settlement issues that occurred when the units were first built back in the 1970's. After an extensive amount of patching and sanding all rooms were painted, new laminate flooring was installed and the old rusted baseboard heating was replaced.

Living Room Renovation
The living room had stepped cracks in several places; a telltale sign that foundation settlement had occurred. The ceiling also had to be repaired in the left corner of the room due to water damage from the unit above.

Renovation: Bed Room One
The walls in bedroom 1 were not able to be patched. Instead, strapping was installed and shimmed in order to accept new drywall.
Renovation- Bed Room 2
The second bedroom was a mirror image of the first but the walls were in slightly better condition. The decision was made to patch the walls rather than installing strapping.
